What would you do if you suddenly found out you were an heir to a royal family's fortune but would have to relocate to another country to acquire it? As an international student, I am the type of person who isn't satisfied with being confined within his own geographic boundaries. I enjoy experiencing new cultures, seeing new things and places. Relocating to another country is an adventure I would never want to miss! I also think that being instantly rich is a big bonus. I'll fly my family and friends over to my castle for an all-expense paid holiday!
If you were a food, what would you like to be, and why? I would like to be an Adobo! This very simple Filipino dish has a rather complex taste: a mix of sweet, sour and salty. I see myself that way: simple yet complex. A contradiction of sorts.
What are you a closet fan of, and why? I am a closet fan of Kristin Laura Kreuk, the actress who plays Lana Lang in the WB television show "Smallville"! This Canadian Dutch-Chinese is a real stunner. She has the best eyes I've ever seen. She is also very sweet, confident and seems very humble. A perfect girlfriend I must say!
If you could be a President/Prime Minister for a day, which country would it would be for and why? I think I would pick to be Ferdinand Marcos of the Philippines in the 70s. If I were him, I'd STOP myself from taking the country's money! Imagine how different the economy would have become if there weren't corrupt politicians?
Let me tell you a secret, I don't know how to... Play the guitar! There's an acoustic guitar in my room gathering dust. Volunteer teacher, anyone?
If you were an animal, what would you NOT want to be? A rat. Who would want to be regarded as a pest and live in urban sewers? The world's too beautiful not to be explored!
What's the best street food you've had in a foreign country? The best one I had was a steamed sea bass in a night market in Phuket, Thailand! Although not commonly considered a street food, it was the best food I've had in a crowded, not so clean, street-setting!
What song has been playing in your head for the day? Postal Service's "Sleeping In" because it sums ups exactly how I feel when I stay up until morning and sleep late! The chorus goes: "Don't wake me up, I plan on sleeping in." Perfect, no?
What do you miss most about Philippines and why? Authentic Filipino food! Singapore has turned me into a foodie,and taught me to appreciate not just foreign dishes but also my own, more than ever!
If you were asked to star in a Reality TV show, which would you choose and why? I'll pick Discovery Travel & Living's "5 Takes", where five young individuals get to backpack around the world, with an allowance of only 50 bucks per day! The viewers get to decide where they should go and what they should be doing! I think that's very exciting! Being on the show would satisfy my love to travel.
