Japan Fundraising
Recently, Japan has been hit by earthquake and tsunami. MDIS Student Council came up with the idea of fund raising, as we want to do our part and lend our helping hands for the victims.
We are happy to announce that we are able to raised an amount of $1 083.25 within three days. This amount of money was directly sent to the Singapore Red Cross. We, the student council brought up the idea of selling of ice cream. This was the simplest way of fund raising, as many people would love eating ice cream during the hot season in Singapore. We had our stall in the hearts of MDIS, which is in the Kopitiam. This is where most of the students and staffs of MDIS will come. Despite the heavy rain that we had during one of those days, we manage to get students and staffs to buy and donate at the same time. Additionally, we must thank each and every of the staffs of MDIS who faithfully donate into the donation tin during our direct approach on the last day of the event. And of course to everybody who came to support us, we really appreciate it!

SC Outing
Holaaaa! Hows your week?
Yes, weekdays contain a lot of stress for us student
s a
nd its a must for us to have a fun-relaxing-crazy weekend!
So, what are u going to do this weekend? Where did student council go?
And here we are, running with clues in the Singapore Botanic Garden under the cloudy-saturday-afternoon.
We MDIS student council was done one of the amazing ou
ting
s ever. We started our activity at
1pm with the grouping in the first pit-stop. We were divided into 5 groups, and here are the group shots!
After that we need to go to another two pit stops that basically easy to find (for only those who can read map :p) to get clues.
Each pit stop will produce clues if you can complete the tasks like answer questions, puzzling, etc.
Ok, it's just a starting point. Next, what are we going to do is use the clues to get the coupon.
There are 9 clues and coupons in total which were scattered around the Singapore Botanic Garden and we need to find all the nine coupons until the next 2 hours. And of course the group who can find all the coupons will be the winner and give punishment to the losing groups. The losing groups get powder all over their faces.
The important thing that we get from this is of course the joys of the togetherness and the sense of belongings to the MDIS student council.
We were running, laughing, eating, playing, and working together as one. It's the very good chance to know and get close to every individual.
We ended our activity with eating (yeyyy after suffered for hours) and the sharing session where each of us have to talk about our feelings about this .
The last, most feedbacks that we got were "WE MUST HAVE MOREE OUTING!".
Here is one of the clues,
"In the house of one kind, above Ficus Microcarpa stands the wrightia rehigiosa, you shall find me if you count thirteen".
Could u find me? Xoxo :)
