The 'V' Word.
Sometimes it is a total bummer to see happy couples sharing Valentine's Day when you're single. Maybe you wish you had someone too... and you do!
Valentine's Day need not be all about romance, chocolates and roses. Take the opportunity to spend the day out with your friends and family. Don't fret if you are single, ready to tingle and mingle but don't have a date!
1. Play catch-up.
Haven't met your old friends in ages? Pencil in a meeting with them in your busy schedule and while you are at it, catch a movie. There is nothing like watching a horror flick with a bunch of screaming girlfriends!
2. Paint the town red.
Red is the color of passion and it sure is bold. When hitting town for a night-out with your pals, have everyone dress in red! Now, whoever said that a little color-coordination is passé?
3. The gift of giving.
So you don’t have a partner to spend a fortune on – buying the roses, a reservation for two at a swanky, romantic restaurant and the works. How about making cards for your friends or buying the parents a little something to commemorate the love festival?
Making someone happy has a euphoric effect on you. It is happiness shared twice. The gifts you give, whether store-bought or home-made will definitely give your recipients the feeling of joy, happiness and appreciation.
Valentine’s Day may be a tad too commercialized but who cares when we can bask in the happy vibes?
