So you whine that you have nothing going in life except for school, examinations, and possibly, work. And you spend whatever little free time you have in the company of friends and family, relaxing in a coffee joint, and going for a session of
pak-tor (Hokkien for 'going on a date'... now who says you don't learn a little something from this blog!) with your honey.
However, if you didn't had much to do, you would have read the past week's entries, and notice mentions on
youth activism and
volunteerism. In my opinion, volunteering your time and energy to a cause you feel strongly about is a worthwhile pursuit. In an age where everything is material, the simplest things in life is king and I believe that being involved in a cause will enrich your life as much as it will enrich the lives of others.
Don't just stay behind your desk and piles of books. Be a mover and shaker. Make a difference today - both in your life and others'.
