As cliche as it may sound...
I still remember what my friend says about international student, how diligent they are, how determined they are to study and score well even though they are far away from their parents...
I will have to admit I was surprised and somehow, a little proud I must say... I think, most of the friends that I meet in MDIS, regardless their nationality, are all determined to graduate with flying marks, to prove to their parents... or even to themselves... they are worthy of the responsibility given...
All these years had been a truly eye-opener to me... Meeting new friends... new cultures... joining the Student Council... having to take care of myself... staying healthy (despite all the fast-food temptations which can be too hard to resist)... to the point of being responsible...
These might never be in your text-book, lecturers only teach 'scientific' knowledge while the rest... it is for you to discover slowly... There will always be points of ups and downs... but in the end, it is not how you fall... but how you learn from your mistakes and re-bound... this time.. Higher...
For you guys who have just made that big decision to leave your comfort zone and come here to taste how a campus life like... Prepare yourself for the sweetest-bitter-sour but crazily FUN experience of your life... Because once you receive that white-paper-with-red-stamp...
