Canteen Food = Yucks!!!
Having my meals in the canteen is becoming a torturous affair, especially if you happen to be a Muslim. Its not that there are much options in the canteen even though if one happens to be a non-Muslim. But one would expect at least a certain degree of variety from the handful of stalls available from the canteen stalls in our Unicampus.
There is only one stall that I patronize and that happens to be the one tucked away in the corner called Starspur. The curry is tasteless, the processed food is constantly the same, and worst of all, the Halal sign is fake (as in its not exactly a Halal-certified eatery, they just happen to paste a similar sign on their display area). But at least the pricing of the food is consistent but still expensive.
No wonder quite a number of our students are heading to the canteen in the mosque and the Malay food stall located under the HDB block beside the Unicampus, where the food is way much cheaper and so much tastier. Shame on the vendors of our canteen.
