Gaming Mania

Portable gaming consoles are, by today's standards, the norm to carry around, especially to young adults like you and me, who finds gadgets like the Nintendo DS and Playstation Portable (PSP) one of the must-haves in our bags.
Well, aside from our pretty, shiny iPhones, iPods and Creative Zens. Or the Blackberry even, although you might be a busy businessperson to carry one around.
Perhaps the reason why we are all so hooked to these gadgets is because they provide a form of escape - you know, from accidentally eavesdropping to conversations during your commute to and from school, work, or practically anywhere. And being preoccupied with such gadgets certainly gives others the vibes not to bother you. Especially when you are traveling alone on a flight and you have a pesky seat partner (tsk tsk). It's like having the "Do Not Disturb" sign!
I am not really a fan of these gadgets because I am bent on protecting my ears from the harmful decibels when you blast that latest Rihanna hit single through your earphones. However,(I might sound contradicting here, but...) it seems that these very gadgets have been really good companions during the holidays!
Uh-huh, although it might border "addicted to" rather "having fun" because all the games that I play requires much concentration.. But that is just me because I am not the usual kind of gamer.
Ever heard of Harvest Moon? Or maybe Trauma Center? Games for the PSP and DS respectively, they can be deemed boring by avid gamers but I really enjoyed these two because it does not require much thinking! I mean, where and when else can you possibly lead a life as a farmer?! Grow seeds, water and harvest them, raise the cattle - it is seriously cute and for a second, I was actually thinking of becoming one myself (wishful thinking)!
As for Trauma Center, hmm, two thumbs up for this one! You will feel like a real surgeon. Believe me 'cos this game is all about attacking a virus developed by a villain and saving peoples' lives. Destroy the virus, save the world!
So, what is your favorite game? Spill!
