Up We Go!
A couple of friends and I have decided to go for a hike in
Mount Faber, and for those who don't know about Mount Faber, it is a hill nearby to
Vivo City at Harbour Front.

Anyway, that was not really the main point. With the recent global crisis and all the price hike, we all feel the hitch... or itch...
And to make things worse, it is already predicted that 2009 is not going to be a really good year for fresh graduates like you and me. Ouch! Like what
Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Community Development Youth and Sports, said during his dialogue session
on Sunday, we WILL have to find a job (and not be choosy), to safeguard ourselves for the worst of the economic climate, if it indeed worsens.
It is not going to be a matter of getting a highly-paid job or a lowly wage - just get yourself a job first and as the times improve, you can definitely improve yourself and climb up that corporate ladder.
Taking these into consideration before you apply for a job, do you know that our school have the Career Assistance Unit (CAU)? They are dedicated to finding and matching graduates and undergraduates to internships, though the only-Singaporeans rule still applies (sad, sad, sad!)
Not only will CAU matches students with suitable companies, they will also help you with your resume and other necessary preparation before entering the fierce workforce market.
All in all, it is not just about you landing a good job on the get go, but also finding a perfect environment for you to Spark and shine! So, people, start planning your pathway to a better future from now! :)
I think it's time for me to start mine and get myself ready for the hiking tomorrow... So excited but yet so_____ (feel free to fill in the blanks) ;p
