Our funny host Gughan Anantha Sayanam entertained the crowd perfectly all night with his incessant joking!

We started off with a wonderful song by our very own Louise Nguyen who entertained us in French!

We then had our very own Dr Theyvendran as our Guest of Honor, embracing the beautiful occasion and sharing with us a heartfelt speech that left most of us pondering about what the future of the Student Council will hold.

We were then left to have delicious, scrumptious food, splayed out on the buffet table - by the end of the day, we were all full and our pants were bursting at their seams!

We then had a tearfully beautiful (7-page long!!!!!) speech by our previous President Malkit Kaur. Tearful faces were the norm across the room - I even spotted tears in Dr Theyvendran's eyes!

Maressa Zahirah (Singapore Idol 3 Top 40) then came on right after to entertain us with "Better in Time" - tears were even seen on HER eyes.

Ms Jamuna gave a short speech, followed by the award ceremony where all the Councillors who've served the past year received a certificate of achievement and thanks.

This was followed by a speech by our newly-elected President Brian Wang - one which lifted our spirits, knowing that his foresights and his enthusiasm will hopefully lead us well this year. (Don't worry - he only said these in 3 pages!)

We wrapped the day up with cake and lots of dancing and loud music..

It was truly a day to think back upon....

The Student Council started as a small group of Oklahoma City University undergraduates with a mission - it is now a Student Council - FOR the students, BY the students! It was amazing what we've achieved over a span of 2 years.

Now that we've found our ground, we're full speed ahead.
